Enchantment begins in Stone Town, Zanzibar

After meeting our vibrant team and your fellow adventurers, you'll early start the ferry crossing from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar Island. Upon your arrival at the ferry port, we will head to our hotel in historic Stone Town. For your convenience, you can leave your main luggage with the driver and pack a smaller backpack for your stay in Zanzibar.

Discovering Zanzibar's rich heritage and spice paths

Zanzibar, a historic port once significant for the slave and spice trade, lures us with its rich history. Our morning begins with a walk through Stone Town, highlighting important sights such as the birthplace of Freddie Mercury. After the tour, we travel on the road to our beach spot for the next two nights, stopping along the way for a guided spice tour. As we pass through villages and spice plantations, you'll be able to observe spice workers skillfully climbing trees and harvesting plants. Fresh spices are available right from these farms.

A day of island paradises on Zanzibar's beaches

Today, you can experience unforgettable island moments. Participate in water sports activities, explore local attractions, or simply relax and enjoy the sun on the pristine beaches. Whether adventure or relaxation, Zanzibar offers a variety of opportunities to indulge your senses.

Farewell to Zanzibar, Hello Bagamoyo

We bid farewell to Zanzibar and board the return ferry to Dar es Salaam. Reunited with our truck, we travel to Bagamoyo, a town that played a significant role in East Africa's trade routes during its time as the capital of German East Africa, making it rich in history.

Journey to Arusha

Our adventure continues northward through the northern regions of Tanzania, with Arusha as our destination for this evening. This vibrant city is the gateway to some of Tanzania's most famous landmarks, including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Kilimanjaro.

An early rise takes us from our camp to the Ngorongoro Crater in 4x4 safari vehicles. The morning is spent exploring the crater floor, home to a diverse range of wildlife.
