Experience an ultimate motorcycle trip through Kyrgyzstan with the tour operator OVERCROSS. Introduction to the motorcycle trip through Kyrgyzstan

We recommend taking a night flight from Europe and landing at Osh Airport in the morning to make the most of the day. We drop off our luggage at the hotel and visit the local bazaar and eat a local dish. After checking in at the hotel, we rest for a bit. In the late afternoon, we pick up the motorcycles and take a short test ride. Then it's back to the hotel, ready to go. The main highlights of the trip: Toktogul Reservoir: Large, warm reservoir, ideal for swimming. Alabel Pass: Crossing the 3400 m high pass. Suusamir Plateau: Vast plateau with breathtaking scenery. Kökemeren River: Picturesque ride along the river. Songköl Lake: Beautiful high mountain lake at 3000 m altitude. Tash-Rabat: Historical caravanserai at 3000 m altitude. Kulak-Ashuu Pass: Pass crossing at 3400 m altitude. Kayyun Pass: Crossing the 2930 m high pass. Kazarman: Goldmine town. Kaldama Pass: Crossing the 3062 m high pass.

Arrival Day 1: Arrival in Osh and Preparation

We recommend taking a night flight from Europe and landing at Osh Airport in the morning to make the most of the day. We store the luggage at the hotel and visit the local market and eat a local dish. After checking in at the hotel, we take a little rest. In the late afternoon, we pick up the motorcycles and take a short test ride. Then we head back to the hotel, ready to go.

Day 2 Drive to Toktogul Lake

Today we travel on the main road from Osh to Bishkek, experiencing an exciting motorcycle trip. First, we traverse the fertile Fergana Valley and then follow the countless curves along the Naryn River. Our day's destination is a hotel right by the huge Toktogul reservoir, ideal for motorcycle travel. In summer, its warm temperature invites swimming.

Day 3 Along the Naryn River to Kyzyl-Oi

After conquering the 3400 m high Alabel Pass, we marvel at the expanse of the Suusamir Plateau. The brave among us try 'Kymiz', fermented mare's milk offered roadside. On a good gravel road, we ride along the picturesque Kökemeren River to Kyzyl-Oi, to the Kyrgyz family who provides us with their home for the night. An adventure holiday in Kyrgyzstan that offers unforgettable impressions.

Day 4 Ascent to Songköl Lake

Our route leads along beautiful hills, forests, and meadows, perfect for motorcycle travel. We pass a coal mine and soon see the magnificent Songköl Lake from a distance. It lies on a gigantic plateau at 3000 m elevation, where Kyrgyz herders graze their herds during the summer months. The nights are mostly cold and starry: A glance at the sky is worth it. We stay overnight in well-equipped yurts. With a bit of luck, there will be freshly grilled fish from the lake for dinner.

Day 5 To the Caravanserai in Tash-Rabat

Today's destination is the caravanserai in Tash-Rabat, a highlight of our motorcycle journey through Central Asia. The road winds down the mountain in countless serpentine curves. In Naryn, we stock up on supplies. After a fantastic ride, flanked by 4000 m high mountains on both sides and through a valley filled with marmots, we reach Tash-Rabat, an ancient caravan site at 3000 m elevation. In a Banja (local sauna), the local shower can be discovered. We sleep in a cozy yurt.

Day 6 Crossing of the Kulak-Ashuu and Kayyun Pass to Kazarman

Today, landscapes, colors, and mountain ranges change nearly every moment! Highlights of our ride are the two passes, Kulak-Ashuu at 3400 m and Kayyun Pass at 2930 m elevation. Today’s stage ends in Kazarman, a gold mining town, another adventure on our motorcycle journey through Kyrgyzstan.

Day 7 Over the Kaldama Pass and back to Osh

The return trip to Osh is long but still varied. At the 3062 m high Kaldama Pass, snow drifts often line the road until June. And then we look forward to the hotel we already know in Osh and to a last fine dinner in Kyrgyzstan.

Day 8 Osh and Departure

Early Saturday morning, we are taken to the airport to fly westward home, after an unforgettable motorcycle journey through Kyrgyzstan.

Motorcycles such as BMW GS models or similar touring enduros are usually available.
Citizens from some countries (e.g. Germany, Austria, Switzerland) do not need a visa for Kyrgyzstan for stays of up to 60 days.
The weather in Kyrgyzstan can be very cool in higher mountain areas even in summer, so variable weather can be expected.
