Introduction to the motorcycle trip through Kyrgyzstan
We recommend taking a night flight from Europe and landing at Osh Airport in the morning to make the most of the day. We deposit the luggage at the hotel and visit the local bazaar and have a local dish. After checking in at the hotel, we rest a bit. Later in the afternoon, we pick up the motorcycles and take a short test ride. Then it's back to the hotel, all set. The main highlights of the trip: Toktogul Reservoir: Large, warm reservoir, ideal for swimming. Alabel Pass: Crossing the 3400 m high pass. Suusamir Plateau: Vast plateau with breathtaking scenery. Kökemeren River: Picturesque ride along the river. Songköl Lake: Beautiful high mountain lake at 3000 m altitude. Tash-Rabat: Historic caravanserai at 3000 m altitude. Kulak-Ashuu Pass: Pass crossing at 3400 m altitude. Kayyun Pass: Crossing the 2930 m high pass. Kazarman: Gold mining town. Kaldama Pass: Crossing the 3062 m high pass.
Daily program: The Toktogul- & Songköl- Adventure
Arrival day 1: Arrival in Osh and preparation
We recommend taking a night flight from Europe and landing at Osh Airport in the morning to make the most of the day. We deposit our luggage at the hotel and visit the local bazaar to eat a local dish. After checking in at the hotel, we rest for a bit. Later in the afternoon, we pick up the motorcycles and take a short test ride. Then we head back to the hotel, ready to go.
Day 2 Trip to Toktogul Lake
Today we are on the main road from Osch to Bishkek, experiencing an exciting motorcycle trip. First, we cross the fertile Fergana Valley and then follow the countless curves along the Naryn River. Our day's destination is a hotel right by the huge Toktogul Reservoir, ideal for motorcycle trips. In summer, its warm temperature invites swimming.
Day 3 Along the Naryn River to Kyzyl-Oi
After we have conquered the 3400 m high Alabel Pass, we marvel at the expanse of the Suusamir Plateau. The brave among us try "Kymiz," fermented mare's milk, which is offered at the roadside. On a good gravel road, we drive along the picturesque Kökemeren River to Kyzyl-Oi, to the Kyrgyz family that offers us their home for the night. An adventure holiday in Kyrgyzstan that offers unforgettable impressions.
Day 4 Ascent to Songköl Lake
Our way leads along beautiful hills, forests, and meadows, perfect for motorcycle trips. We pass a coal mine and soon see the magnificent Songköl Lake from afar. It is located on a gigantic high plateau at an altitude of 3000 m, where Kyrgyz shepherds graze their herds during the summer months. The nights are mostly cold and starry: A look at the sky is worth it. We spend the night in well-equipped yurts. With a bit of luck, there will be freshly caught fish from the lake for dinner.
Day 5 To the caravanserai in Tash-Rabat
Our today's destination is the caravanserai in Tash-Rabat, a highlight of our motorcycle trip through Central Asia. The road winds down the mountain in countless serpentine curves. In Naryn we stock up on supplies. After a fantastic ride, accompanied by 4000 m high mountains on both sides and through a valley filled with many marmots, we arrive at Tash-Rabat, an old caravan site at an altitude of 3000 m. In a Banja (local sauna), the local shower can be discovered. We spend the night in a cozy yurt.
Day 6 Crossing of the Kulak-Ashuu and the Kayyun Pass to Kazarman
Today the landscape, colors, and mountain ranges change almost hourly! Highlights of our journey are the two passes Kulak-Ashuu at 3400 m and the Kayyun Pass at 2930 m altitude. Today's stage ends in Kazarman, a gold mining town, another adventure on our motorcycle trip through Kyrgyzstan.
Day 7 Over the Kaldama Pass and back to Osch
The return journey to Osch is long, but still varied. Along the road at the 3062 m high Kaldama Pass, snow worms often lie until June. And then we look forward to the hotel in Osch that we already know and to a last fine dinner in Kyrgyzstan.
Day 8 Osch and Departure
Early on Saturday morning we will be taken to the airport to fly home to the west, after an unforgettable motorcycle trip through Kyrgyzstan.
