Introduction to the Sardinia Motorcycle Trip
This motorcycle trip is the ideal mix of great curves, cozy accommodation with excellent cuisine and a pool - or even the big pool right in front of you. Optionally, you can transport your motorcycle with us to the island and then fly to Olbia, where you can check into a hotel in a relaxed manner. The next day we will pick you up. For those who have a bit more time, there is of course the option of traveling independently by ferry. We are happy to assist you with the ferry booking or take care of it entirely for you. The meeting point is either at the port of Genoa, from where we will embark on the ferry crossing together, or we will meet directly on the island the next day.
Daily program: Motorcycle trips Sardinia: guided tours in Italy
Day 1: Arrival in Genoa
This day is intended for individual travel to the harbor to prepare for the upcoming adventure. The meeting point is the harbor of Genoa, where we will all meet and embark on the Sardinia adventure together. For those flying, this is also the travel day - so we can set off directly on our exciting motorcycle tour the next morning. Take the time before the start to enjoy the atmosphere in Genoa, to discover the coastal city with its historic streets and Mediterranean charm. In the evening, you can get in the mood for the adventure with the other participants over a relaxed dinner while getting to know new friends. Tomorrow, we’ll really get going - on the motorcycles on the road, past coastal landscapes, wild mountain roads, and little villages just waiting to be discovered by you!
Day 2: Asphalt and Curves
After our disembarkation, we pick up the participants who have flown in from the hotel. Our first destination is the world-famous Costa Smeralda - a true highlight in the northeast of Sardinia. Here we can expect breathtaking views of the crystal-clear water and elegant yachts lining the coast. While we are in Palau, we must not miss the Bear's Cape - an impressive rock formation shaped by wind and weather in the form of a bear, which represents a true natural wonder. Afterwards, we look for a cozy bar to start the day with a relaxed breakfast. Today we first drive along winding roads, enjoying the first dose of off-road feeling, but the rest of the way takes us on the highway, so that we arrive at our hotel on time. The first day ends relaxed: with a joint dinner, we get to know each other better, exchange our first impressions, and prepare for the coming week full of exciting motorcycle adventures.
Day 3: Curves as far as the eye can see
After a hearty breakfast, we hop on our motorcycles and get ready for a fantastic tour. Today we are heading north again, where the coast accompanies us along winding roads. We roughly ride along the coast until just before Posada, before making a detour south where even more curves await us. Today it’s not about speed, but about pure riding pleasure - we take our time, enjoy the curve paradise of Sardinia and the impressive views of the coastal landscape. Our first stop takes us to the legendary bandit village of Orgosolo, where we admire the fascinating murals. Here we can enjoy a coffee or maybe a little snack, and we let ourselves be enchanted by the history and culture of the village - we have plenty of time to enjoy everything at our leisure. In the afternoon we ride back to the hotel at a leisurely pace. Those who still have energy can take a dip in the refreshing sea or reward themselves with a cold Ichnusa - the Sardinian beer - at the bar. In the evening there’s a delicious dinner where we reflect on the day’s experiences and look forward to the next exciting day.
Day 4: Detour to the West Coast
Today we drive through the charming Jerzu, the idyllic Ussassai, and the historic Seui. It goes steeply uphill, winding downhill and back up again - the winding roads of Sardinia are just waiting to be conquered by us. Each bend reveals new, spectacular views! As soon as we reach the wild west coast, we treat ourselves to a well-deserved break and enjoy the breathtaking view of the crystal-clear sea. Afterwards, we make a stop at Torre dei Corsari, (The Pirate Tower), an impressive landmark that marks the beginning of the legendary Costa Verde - a place famous for its pristine beauty and secret beaches. After this fascinating excursion, we make our way back and roll down the winding roads to the now-familiar east coast, which greets us with open arms. The ride will be just as exciting as the journey there - and maybe we'll even experience an unforgettable sunset! In the evening, a special highlight awaits us: a traditional Sardinian dinner with dear friends. In a warm, cozy atmosphere, we let the day come to a close with excellent, homemade food. Don't let the tempting appetizers fill you up too soon, because the main course will surely catapult you into culinary heaven!
Day 5: A well-deserved day off
Today we're just doing exactly what we feel like - no fixed plans, just pure freedom! For some, that probably means even more adventures on two wheels. So grab your machine and take a ride through the countryside - or get some insider tips for exciting excursions in the area to explore new, undiscovered corners. But don't worry, if you prefer to ease off the gas today, you can also look forward to a relaxing day. Let the curves be curves and treat yourself to something different. How about a cozy boat tour along the coast where you can admire the impressive nature from the water? Or just let your soul dangle and enjoy the sun on the beach - no stress, just switch off and relax.
Day 6: We explore the south
Today, our motorcycle trip takes us to the sunny south of the island, and as always, the legendary curves are the focus of our adventure. First, we ride through the charming Perdasdefogu, a remote village in the mountainous region of Salto di Quirra. The place is primarily known for the nearby military training area, and part of the village consists of an impressive barracks complex - an impressive sight that reflects the military heritage of the region. We continue through Dolianova, a true gem for wine lovers. In this region, there are numerous excellent cantinas where you can taste the best Sardinian wines. Don't worry if you can't enjoy the wines right on the spot - they are also available in the local supermarkets of Sardinia to take a piece of this unique region home with you. After Dolianova, we leave the mountainous inland and slowly head towards the coast. From now on, we have the sea always to our right and accompany it on our way. We pass the Costa Rei, which is rightly called the "King's Coast." The 8-kilometer long, powder-white sandy beach practically invites a break. Depending on the time, we stop here to have lunch in this setting - with a view of the sparkling sea and the vast horizon.
Day 7: Mountains Supramonte and Gennargentu
Today is already our last day on the motorcycles - a week goes by far too quickly! But don't worry, we're making the most of our last day and exploring once again the heart of Sardinia: the wild interior of the island with the majestic mountains of Supramonte and Gennargentu. These landscapes offer us once again everything we love about curves and nature - from steep mountain passes to breathtaking views. On the way, we pass through the picturesque Mamoiada, a small, traditional mountain village known for its fascinating carnival masks. These masks, deeply rooted in Sardinian culture, have something mystical about them and are a true symbol of the island. If the mood allows, we take a look at the tiny yet incredibly lovingly designed mask museum of the place. Here, you learn everything about the history and significance of the masks - a truly unique insight into Sardinian tradition.
Day 8: To the harbor or departure
After a relaxing breakfast, we are heading towards the harbor early today. Of course, we will take a few last curves to properly enjoy the route, but the view of the destination is clearly in the foreground today. Those flying back today will be taken directly to the airport, while the others, who will take the ferry with us, still have some time to soak in the last impressions of the island. Before we say our final goodbyes, we will indulge ourselves one last time culinary: In the evening we will eat together the last genuine Sardinian pizza - an absolute must to properly conclude this trip. After that, it's "onto the ship" and enjoy the evening in peace, as we slowly say goodbye to the island.
Day 9: Individual journey home from Genoa
This day is entirely dedicated to the individual journey home. After the crossing with the ferry, our paths will part, but don't worry, the adventure doesn't end here. If we transport your motorcycle for you, we are already looking forward to seeing you again in Tübingen when you pick up your machine there. This way, a piece of Sardinia stays with you a little longer - and maybe also the memories of this unforgettable journey.
