If the weather doesn’t cooperate, access to the summit can be closed – don’t worry, this happens rarely. If it does, however, you have the option to undertake alternative hikes in the surrounding area.

Today, you'll head to the charming island of La Gomera, the second smallest of the Canaries. It is quieter here than in Tenerife, and the villages nestled between forest and coast invite leisurely strolls and hikes with breathtaking sea views. Agulo, one of the prettiest villages on the island, offers the perfect opportunity for a little break and a glass of wine. The next highlight awaits at the viewpoint El Mirador de Abrante, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view. Before you take the ferry back to Tenerife, definitely stop at the Parque Nacional de Garajonay. Shortly after sunrise, you arrive in the capital Arrecife, and the rest of the day is still yours before you head to the airport to return your rental car 2 hours before your flight.
