Introduction to the Kilimanjaro climb
The Machame route is considered the most scenic route on the way to the summit of Kilimanjaro. The ascent begins in the dense rainforest at the foot of the mountain and then leads through the individual camps to the main summit, Kibo. Along the way, trekkers are offered breathtaking views. The Machame route is certainly one of the more demanding routes and involves very steep passages to the summit. More elevation gain must be overcome on this route than on other routes. Overnight stays are in tents. Alternatively to the Machame route, you can also book an ascent with us via the Marangu, Lemosho, Shira, Rongai, or Umbwe route!
