Argentina motorcycle trip in the Atacama

You will be picked up at the airport in Salta and taken to the hotel, from where your motorcycle adventure starts the next day. After a short introduction to the tour and information about Salta, you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Through a winding paved road through forested mountains, you will reach the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On gravel roads, you will reach the 4000 m high Abra del Condor and the mountain village of Iruya, surrounded by colorful rock walls. There is a 5-hour hike to a plateau with impressive views. Further north, near the Bolivian border, you will visit Yavi with its historical church and rock paintings. Afterwards, you will explore the Laguna de los Pozuelos at 4000 m with its unique flora and fauna. Over the 4200 m high Cuesta de Lipan pass, you will go to the dazzling white Salinas Grandes. After a winding paved road, a gravel road leads to the La Polvorilla viaduct, part of the "Train in the Clouds." A highlight awaits at Abra El Acay, the highest pass in Argentina at 4895 m. The ride offers spectacular views of the Puna plateau. Back to Salta, you will drive relaxed on good roads through the colorful Quebrada del Toro valley.
