OVERVIEW
USA Motorcycle trip across North America from the Pacific to the Atlantic
The USA Highway Coast to Coast motorcycle trip from the East Coast to the West Coast is not without reason called the Legend Tour, because this motorcycle trip is the epitome and model of the Easy Rider Tour, which was filmed in 1969 with Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. The motorcycle tour starts in California, in the road movie city of Los Angeles with a stopover in Palm Springs, California. Passing by Phoenix to Truth or Consequences, along the Mexican border through the Big Bend National Park with the destination Austin and the rhythm blues "New Orleans".
Our motorcycle trips end in Cedar Key under the Florida sun.

Daily program: USA Highway Legends - The Coast to Coast Adventure
1. Arrival Day: Touch down LAX Los Angeles
After about eleven to twelve hours of flight time, we touch down on the runway of Los Angeles International Airport LAX! The participants of the Coast to Coast motorcycle tour will meet in the evening for a 'Meet & Greet' with their fellow riders and support team to discuss what you will experience on the Legend Tour. Finally, there are a few important safety tips and tour rules for the shared ride through the USA, raise your glasses and let's go!
2. Coastal Day: Los Angeles, CA - Palm Springs, CA
Since this is a Coast to Coast Adventure motorcycle tour, we start our day with a ride along the beautiful coastline of the Pacific Ocean. Before heading east on the famous Ortega Highway, the first of two incredible passes of the day. If you love riding the 'twisties', today will be very satisfying! Our destination tonight is Palm Springs, an oasis in the desert for the Hollywood and L.A. elite. Warm desert air and relaxation are the rewards for a great first riding day.
3. Nature Travel Day: Palm Springs, CA - Kingman, AZ
We will ride a few miles directly to Joshua Tree National Park, one of our staff's favorite destinations. After lunch, we will ride on the legendary Route 66 in Amboy. We will pass through the ghost town of Oatman in Arizona along the way. Oatman looks almost exactly as it did over 100 years ago when it was a booming mining town and is now a 'must' for Route 66. We will end the day in Kingman and spend the night in one of our favorite Route 66 hotels.
4. Road Day: Kingman, AZ - Lakeside, AZ
Today's journey begins with several miles of the so-called 'Mother Road' before riders have the opportunity to head south to explore Sedona or ride along Route 66 to stand 'on the corner in Winslow, Arizona'. I will be satisfied with both rides. Both routes end with a spectacular ride through the Tonto National Forest in central Arizona. Today is one of the longer riding days of the tour but the incredible roads and landscapes make it an unforgettable experience.
5. Wild West Tour: Pinetop Lakeside, AZ - Truth or Consequences, NM
The only thing cooler than the name of our destination is the ride there. We wind our way mile after mile through breathtaking terrain in the Gila National Forest in western New Mexico. Along the way, it quickly becomes a dream of the Old West. Riding a Chopper through the desert isn't so different from the cowboys who rode with a real horse in this area back in 1880.
6. The 'White Sands' day: Truth or Consequences, NM - Roswell, NM
Today we continue, mile by mile, through wide open spaces peppered with dense forest trails. Today's highlights definitely include Radium Springs, Organ Mountain, and best of all, White Sands National Monument. Compared to an overnight stay in Roswell, the alien conspiracy capital of the world, the prior highlights are obviously incomparable. Little green men and UFOs are everywhere, so keep your eyes peeled for the next E.T. encounter!
7. Motorcycle Travel Day to the Cave: Roswell, NM - Big Bend National Park, TX
We have to start early today to cover a lot of ground, so we have enough time on our free day in Big Bend National Park. We will visit the Carlsbad Caverns, one of the oldest and most famous cave systems in the world. It's a long but easy ride from Carlsbad Caverns to Big Bend National Park, where we will stay for two nights to rest a bit. But most importantly, to have a whole free day to explore one of the best-kept secrets in the U.S. national park system. At Big Bend, there are recreational opportunities such as horseback riding, ATV tours, hiking, and many other activities to explore and enjoy the park.
8. Vacation Day: Big Bend National Park, TX - Free Day
Today is your day to explore the park at your own pace. Ask your support team for ideas on what you can best do in Big Bend on this day. Enjoy the day!
9. Motorcycle Travel Day to Mexico: Big Bend, TX - Del Rio, TX
It's hard to leave the dreamlike national park of Big Bend behind, but we have only covered half of the tour. As we continue east, we will cross the border between the USA and Mexico and traverse the vast Amistad Reservoir (Amistad means 'friendship' in Spanish) before landing in Del Rio.
Fragen stellen
10 'Fight Day': Del Rio, TX - Austin TX
Today we go from one extreme to another, from sleepy Del Rio to the modern hip city of Austin. Austin is the capital of Texas, home to many universities and museums, parks, and nationally-renowned restaurants. If you love real Texas BBQ, top-notch live music, and more bars than you can count, then Austin is your city. With a very lively nightlife, there's something for everyone here. On the way to Austin, take some time for a stop in San Antonio, the second-largest city in the state. The Riverwalk downtown is a great place for lunch, and it's right next to the Alamo, a Spanish colonial mission that was the site of a legendary battle in Texas. In the fight between Mexicans and Texans, the Mexicans emerged victorious from the battle.
11. Harley Davidson on the Road: Austin, TX - Lake Charles, LA
Today is all about the back roads of Texas, we ride through the outskirts of Houston, the fourth largest city in the state. If space exploration interests you, you could visit the NASA Johnson Space Center, home to all astronaut training and mission control operations. Soon you will get to know the relaxed vibe of Lake Charles and Louisiana. A fun 'Riverboat Gambler' spot on the main road, plus casinos, restaurants, and every type of bar or tavern you can imagine. Rest up and save some energy, because we arrive in New Orleans tomorrow!
12. Golf Day on the Road: Lake Charles, LA - New Orleans, LA
We are heading south from Lake Charles, enjoying the first glimpse of 'Bayou Life'. We ride along the Gulf of Mexico at Rockefeller and White Lake Wildlife Refuges as well as Marsh Island before focusing on The Big Easy. After a quick stop at the hotel to check-in and organize, we head into the heart of the French Quarter and enjoy everything N'awlins has to offer!
13. The Day off: New Orleans, LA - Free Day
Feel free to explore New Orleans on your own. 'Crescent City' is constantly chosen as one of the best tourist destinations in the USA and there are a million things to keep you entertained. Ask your support rider for ideas on tours, museums, restaurants, shopping, etc.
14 Louisiana Motorcycle Day: New Orleans, LA - Panama City Beach, FL
A beautiful landscape along the Gulf Coast awaits us today. We will ride through the military port cities of Gulfport, Biloxi, Mobile, and Pensacola on our way to Panama City Beach. This region has come back to life after the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010 and has once again established itself as one of the top travel destinations in the American South. The deserts of the Southwest and the swamps of Louisiana will seem like a distant dream as you ride past palm trees and white sandy beaches!
15. On the road again in the Gator land: Panama City Beach, FL - Cedar Key, FL
Too much of a good thing is wonderful as the old saying goes, so let's roll along the coast for another day on our way to Cedar Key. Today's highlights include Tates Hell State Forest and the incredibly beautiful (and hard to pronounce!) Apalachicola National Forest. You are now in 'Gator Land' so watch where you step when dismounting your motorcycle! Our stop tonight is Cedar Key, a small coastal town lovingly referred to as the 'Gulf of Mexico'. Good food and very nice locals to hang out and laugh with are waiting for you.
16 The Gospel of Harley Davidson: Cedar Key, FL - Daytona Beach, FL
Today we complete the 'Coast to Coast' segment as we arrive at the Atlantic Ocean and Daytona Beach. It's an easy section across the peninsula of Florida and it's worth spending some time in Ocala - known as the thoroughbred capital of America, Ocala offers self-guided motorcycle tours to several stables and ranches in the surrounding area due to its abundance of thoroughbred horse ranches. In Daytona, you can visit Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona, the largest Harley-Davidson dealer in the USA and of course the Daytona International Speedway, home to the most famous stock car race in NASCAR, the Daytona 500. We will arrange our famous farewell party tonight and end this amazing motorcycle tour in style!
17. Travel Day at the end of the Coast: Orlando, FL - Departure
It's just a short ride back to the station where we will return our motorcycles. If you would like to do some sightseeing in Orlando after the tour ends, let us know and we can happily arrange hotel and/or motorcycle reservations for you. We thank you for the tour. We wish you good and safe travels. Ride safe and have fun out there!
